National Recreation Week Grant - FUNDING OPPORTUNITY!

Waterford City and County Council in partnership with Waterford Sports Partnership is supporting a number of events, funded by the Department of Children & Youth Affairs, to be held during National Recreation Week  - Sunday 28th June to Saturday 4th July.

Events or activities must focus on promoting the use of the natural environment to young people (aged under 18) i.e. Beaches, Woods, Rocks and Water.

Examples of eligible events include Come and Try it sessions, free entry to facilities or clubs promoting the natural environment for recreation activities.  All events must be free to the public.

Funding is limited with a small number of grants available somewhere in the range of €150 to €450 per successful group/event.  The closing date for application is 4 p.m. Friday 22nd May 2015.
