Fun and games for older adults in Cill Barra Sports Centre

Waterford Sports Partnership in association with Respond and Waterford GAA Coaching and Games Development ran a fun day of  multi-activities on Wednesday for older adults.
Congratulations to the thirty older adults from Respond Housing Association in Waterford, Wexford and New Ross, Kingfisher men’s group and Waterford Stroke Support who took part.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly ninety year old Cissie Halpin scoring four goals in the indoor hurling tournament. Cissie personifies the positive effect physical activity can have on our zest for life! Timmy Fox from Kingfisher men’s group said ‘with the go for life games, indoor hurling and other activities, who needs a pension!’
