Walk Waterford Spring Series - First Walk Saturday 26th January

This Spring Waterford Sports Partnership is organising a series of leisure walks which will give people a chance to get out and get active whilst enjoying the beautiful Waterford countryside.

The first walk in the 2013 Walk Waterford Spring Series is the Dungarvan Railway Walk on the newly upgraded old railway track. This route is unique to Waterford, it has been developed on the old railway track and as result is mostly off road and is predominately flat making it perfect for all levels and abilities.  It is well used by locals for walking, cycling and running and is easy to find once you get to Dungarvan. It is a linear trail, approximately 4km in length and will take about an hour to complete.

So come and join us on our first outing. We will be meeting in Dungarvan at the Public Car Park, just off the Park Hotel roundabout opposite Country Life at 10.50am on Saturday 26th January.

All walkers will need suitable walking shoes (runners are ideal), warm clothing and a waterproof jacket. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. If you can’t make this walk perhaps you can make the next one which is the Dunmore East Wood Walk on Saturday 2nd February.
