Walk Waterford - Spring Series

Next Walk Sunday 25th March
Waterford Sports Partnership was delighted to see so many families out at the last Walk Waterford Spring series stroll on the Dungarvan Railway walkway.Fifty walkers enjoyed the 5km Sunday stroll. Some of walkers knew a little of the history of the old railway and shared their knowledge along the way which made the walk all the more enjoyable.
The third walk in the Walk Waterford Spring Series is the Tramore Doneraile Walk, a Slί na Sláinte route. Taking place on Sunday next March 25th this 4km stroll will take about and hour. Once the group have climbed the hill up to the Doneraile walkers will be treated to majestic views over Tramore Bay and surrounds and will get the chance to enjoy some great maritime heritage features on route to the Guillemeane.

The Tramore Coast Guard Cultural Centre has kindly offered to open on the day so that walkers can enjoy an exhibition from Waterford Camera Club and will also be providing some light refreshments for the group on their return journey.

So come along and join us on Sunday March 25th at 2pm. We will be meeting at the car park opposite the Majestic Hotel at 1.50pm. All walkers will need suitable walking shoes (runners are ideal), warm clothing and a waterproof jacket. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

For more information please contact Jane O’Dwyer, Waterford Sports Partnership on 086 1985729. If you can’t make this walk perhaps you can make the next one which is Glenshelane River Walk on Sunday 15th April.
